 Thanks to Sven for these great scans of rare Photo Story Magazines from his collection.

 

This is the very first South African Photo Story of which a series would be made.  The photo depicts the front cover of issue no 1 of "Kyk", published in 1960.  A few months later, its English counterpart "See" would follow.

It would be a full five years later before the next photo story, and also the first series featuring a titular character, would follow, being "Mark Condor" in 1965.  He was followed by "Dr Conrad Brand" and then "Ruiter in Swart" in 1966.

Mimosa Romance Library Digest 54

This rare South African reprint was published in 1961 by Mimosa (S.A. Magazine Co.).
Glossy Colour Cover, Black-and-White Interior.
These titles were printed in a smaller size (185x130mm) compared to the original DC Comics title.
Cover printed in colour, interior in black-and-white.
The printing reproduction from the original was very good quality. This issue is only 32 pages.

The cover image used for the Mimosa Edition is of unsure origin. 

It contains this story from DC Comics' Girls' Romances 44 (1957):
"So Close to Heartbreak"

This rare South African reprint was published in 1964 by Mimosa (S.A. Magazine Co.).

These titles were printed in a smaller size (161x116mm) compared to the original DC Comics title.
Cover printed in colour, interior in black-and-white.
The printing reproduction from the original was very good quality. This issue is only 24 pages.
