Tintin in Afrikaans

Tintin was created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi, who wrote under the pen name Herge, and first appeared in 1929.

The Adventures of Tintin series was translated into Afrikaans (Die Avonture van Kuifie), starting in 1973. Seven Hardcover Afrikaans Editions were published in the 1970s, with translations by Nerina Ferreira and E.P. Du Plessis. The later Afrikaans Editions were published in Paperback, with translations by Sonya van Schalkwyk-Barrois. The Afrikaans Editions are published by Human & Rousseau.
